Stampscapes Halloween Imagery (3 NEW SETS)!
Просмотров 14912 часов назад
3 new jam packed Halloween sets from Stampscapes coming soon! They were sent to the engraver over the weekend and should be shipping to my rubber guy soon. From there, he'll inspect them and if they look perfect, he'll make a mould from the magnesium etchings and start pressing the sheets for these new sets and, for the cling foam versions, mounting/trimming and packaging them up. Let's do some reflection cards using the Lakeside Cove Lg and various types of papers paired with a piece of silver mirrored cardstock in a standard card base. I don't tape the components down in this video but that's what you would do when you've competed the two components (top and bottom).

Stampscapes Lab: Galaglow Hazelnut Suede Paper!
Просмотров 163Месяц назад
This paper popped up on my Amazon page. Like the wood grain disposable placemat paper, this suede patterned paper is of the disposable placemat variety. I liked the photos of this paper and what looked like could make for a nice background for scenes as it might look like the imagery has been stamped on leather. In this video, we do some impression tests with different inks. Some dry very fast ...

I grin when I see you stand up to do the CPR stamping 🙂
Thanks Kevin! You have such great ideas!!! I do want to be sure people know I did not make the back side rainbow image. That was done by Mary Burrows, one of Blue Knight's talented artists.
Im gonna go see if they do A7 cards. Because I don’t make USA standard A2 cards unfortunately. Thanks for sharing Kevin
I love the papers...and you make them shine....
So easy to make a gorgeous picture using these!
I absolutely love working with these background cards! I don't have this set...yet!
Like the space ship idea
Like that idea
These stamps are awesome Kevin...I see the graveyard and the swamp coming alive on Oct 31st...lol..what fun we're going to have...
Break out that glow-in-the-dark material Linda!
@@stampscapes I surely will, I have plenty...lol..
I'm new to standard and can't wait to get these!!
Very cool Kevin!😮
Thanks Genie!
Love them all! Thank you Kevin!
Glad you like them Megan!
Thank you for videos. Well you did it again AMAZING ❤️
Thanks for checking it out!
I'm super excited about these!!
I can't wait to try them out!
Wonderful card .. Love the atmospheric look
Thanks Callycat!
Love the spooky feeling this picture gives.
Thanks Arlene!
😮Oooh fun spooky stamps to play with!
Hope you like them Genie!
😍 Great images!
Many thanks!
The photo stamped scene and the dark blue are my favourite but all of them render a pretty stunning card....
Ahhh Kevin I think you've nailed it with the Halloween line...I love it...I have a dancing skeleton but it's too big to fit into scenes properly so I'm happy to see your dancing skeletons will be smaller....a really great line you have coming up....
Thanks Linda!
Thank you so much for explaining this, I managed to pick up a set of these Rapidographs a number of years ago, but only recently decided to use them, I was not sure exactly how to put the pen together properly but this video was really useful.
If you have the cartridges for your pens, don't toss them when emptied as these pens seem to have finally been discontinued in the past few years. I only noticed when someone asked about the cartridges on one of my video posts. I couldn't find them being sold anywhere. But, what some have mentioned over the years is that they use a syringe to inject ink into the cartridges and that works fine. I've never done that but I don't see any reason it wouldn't work. I'm assuming one would just use the Rotring Isograph ink for the Rapidograph ink cartridges.
@@stampscapes the set of pens I bought came with 4 cartridges but they must have been really old they appeared to be full of ink but just would not feed through any ink to the nibs I was worried that I had wasted my money but this week I found a place selling new cartridges , I tried out 3 of the 4 pens and they all now work perfectly I have .25 .35 .50 and a .70 although not sure if i will use that one much so have not put a cartridge in it, the place said they had a good stock of them (i did buy another box of 3) good tip about holding onto the empty cartridges though ! Having tried them out I wish I had a .13 instead of the .70 ...
@@philgray7320 Wow, I'm surprised that the cartridges that came with the set didn't work. I wouldn't have thought the viscosity (I'm assuming) was thicker due to evaporation(?). With the ink sealed off I didn't think that could happen. But, if those cartridges are at a good price, you might buy a few while you can. The only ones I saw were red ink ones online and I was just looking yesterday. But, yeah, that .7 is a really fat tip. My main nib was the .25 and .30 in the past. One tip that I would suggest, is that if you're not using your pens a lot, try and do a little scribbling with them once a week just to keep them flowing. Would just take 60 seconds. Or, if you're not using them a lot, store them in a ziplock with a piece of damp (not soaking) sponge. That will keep the environment a little moister. That's what they used to do in this hydrometer by Koh-i-Nor for their tech pens. I'm blabbing on about this as I'm kind of shocked that the pens seem to be gone for good now so us users should probably take pretty good care of them.
could not find those cartridges locally I did have to go a fair way to get some, but that always seems to be the case over here in Australia when you want something a little out of the normal item. I got 2 packs of those cartridges so hopefully they will last a little while. The place I went to was a warehouse open to the public their website does indeed state that although they sell the actual Rotring Rapidograph pens they are a discontinued range - and only available only while stock lasts. I will be looking after them now though considering that they are hard to get hold of, again may thanks for the tips I would not have thought of that ! I might have to track down a 0.13 nib now though !
I am looking forward to purchasing these Halloween sets. I love the images you have shown in the 2 sneak previews. I hope some of the drawing can have a large and small version if space permits.🕷🐌👽🐛
Quite a few multiple sizes with these. We should be loaded with Halloween imagery with the new sets. I can't wait to use them!
I love the skeletons! I know that that one image is an alien, but I keep seeing Gollum in the Crystal cave that you did a couple years back Fun ahead!
Oh yeah! Could be used for a Gollum type of character!
Loving the frogs, cats, and crows too (🤔 really everything) 🤣
You need a swamp monster too
Love the bat too!!
So excited you are doing the dancing skeleton
He’s great holding a pumpkin
Two directions and sizes as I like that image a lot!
I'm so happy with these! Halloween aliens And the sharks can come after the rafter and rowboater😂😂and paddle board people!
Good ideas!
Kevin got me a shark! ❤❤❤❤
Stamped my first card this morning 😊
Keep rockin' the cards/exercises/experments in Lynn's stamp lab!
These are helping a lot. You can teach old man new tricks lol.
Awesome! Just keep adding on to your knowledge and techniques in small increments and you'll feel the momentum rolling over time. Then, when you get good at things, keep that up but try some other techniques that are challenging so that you keep pushing the boundaries. You'll start formulating ideas when you're just sitting around then when you go back "into the lab" you can work on trying to formulate those ideas with old and new techniques.
Great tips .. Thankyou
Thanks callycat!
Great lesson, Kevin. I think you are an excellent teacher.
Thanks Cynthia!
The dense pigment application gave the trees an eerie sort of look..love it...
Thank you very much 😊
100% cotton cotton balls Lynn! lol.
Why not use a bowl or something smaller under the item you are spraying (in the box on the paper) so you can continually move through your items to spray and not have to worry about the next item getting stuck...
You could but if there's any breeze at all, the pieces are going to go flopping around. That slight tackiness can hold the pieces down.
Thanks 😊
Rock those shadows Lynn!
Lots of great information here, thanks Kevin!😊
Thanks Genie
Sorry to hear that your mom passed away. She was lucky to be healthy right up to the time she returned to her Heavenly home. We love that you share memories of your mom and dad with us through your beautiful artwork and videos. Take care !
Thanks Sweetieisabird.
Kevin I love watching you do your thing, this is so beautiful. I haven't caught you live in a while, but know that I am watching.❤
Thanks so much
Kevin, Thank you so much for this information. It’s like a light 💡 just went on and I finally understood the light dark shadow concept. You explained it so well and easy to understand. Thanks for sharing your talent and knowledge with us. Sorry Len for your stroke, hope you’re getting stronger everyday. Glad you are still wanting to craft and make beautiful things. I agree with Kevin. A stamp positioner would be your best friend. Thanks for bringing up this question. I needed the explanation. Happy crafting ❤
Glad it came in handy Beatriz.
